Palani and his crew, Scott and Hoku, installed my split system in four bedrooms over two days. The entire crew was very polite and took good care of my home as they worked in each room. They worked straight through the first day without taking any breaks, completing all of the interior work, then cleaned up the area of all debris.

The second day, it was pouring rain, and I thought the install would be postponed. However, the crew showed up at 8:00 am and began working. The electricians also arrived shortly after and began doing what electricians do (they, too, did a fantastic job, working in the rain). By lunchtime, all four bedrooms were air conditioned. Palani tested each unit ensuring it was working properly and explained the many functions of the remote control.

I am very pleased and impressed by the quality of their work. I highly recommend them and know you'll be pleased with their work. Thank you Palani and crew for a job well done. I will definitely call on Standard Air to do my annual maintenance and to replace my other aging split system in the future.

Hey Palani, maybe you should change the name of the company to Exceptional Air because your workmanship is way beyond Standard. Mahalo!

I can't see Standard Air getting anything but 5 star reviews. If they do, I would be suspect of that review. Palani knows his business, uses the proper equipment, is safety and cleanliness minded. As the owner, he promptly returns calls, and actually shows up on time and is a very good communicator. If you have read this far, you should know his prices are more than fair. Others wanted up to 2x his price.
If you are looking at splits you will want to call Palani for quality, honesty, and a good price!

Palani was very responsive from the initial quote to the end of the installation. He was able to schedule my installation quickly. He initially thought it would take 1.5 days but there was a hiccup along the way and he told me that it would take two full days. He and his crew showed up on time and they stayed the whole day on both days. The only issue I had was one of the units did not work and Palani said the motor was broken even though it was a brand new unit. He came out on the third day to do a quick repair. I appreciated that they cleaned up well after themselves; this has not been a common experience for me in the past. Anyway, I would recommend this company and I plan on using them for future maintenance of my AC system.

I recently purchased a house that had an existing split AC system installed. During escrow, the Home Inspector noted how poorly maintained the AC units were. I am keenly aware that a poorly functioning AC unit is inefficient and can create more problems, in additiona to being a potential health hazard.

When we closed, one of the first things I did was solicit bids from HVAC contractors to get my units serviced. Palani of Standard AC was very prompt in responding to me with a written bid. He even followed up with a call asking me what my specific needs and concerns were. As a licensed Hawaii Energy Contractor, he even let me know I was eligible for a rebate for two of my units, which was a nice surprise. Finally, prior to the date of the servicing, Palani asked me to take pictures of the units so he had any potential replacement parts ready in case he needed to fix anything.

On the day of the appointment, Palani and Scott, arrived on time (Scott was 15-minutes) early to look at the house. They promptly started and were very thorough in their work. They also brought their own hose to spray down the units and put down drop clothes so nothing got my my floors, plus they even vacuumed the floor after. The service included taken off the entire wall unit, disassembling it and cleaning it, and reinstalling. While Palani quoted it may take them up to an hour each unit, the two of them finished all four units in about 2.5 hours.

The units are now VERY clean, much colder, and the fans seem to blow more powerful. Palani and Scott were really nice, professional, and I would recommend Standard AC to my friends and family.

Chose Standard Air to clean my 3 split ac units. Got quotes from several different companies and chose SA because of the rebates offered and because I got a prompt and courteous response from Palani. He's really great to work with, did a good job and I would definitely call him again for my ac maintenance needs.

When you buy a condo in Hawaii and it comes with an AC system, be forewarned that a lot of HVAC companies refuse to service machines that they did not install.

Palani at Standard Air was one of the very few companies that were willing to service our Mitsubishi system. He specializes in split system AC systems and are very good at what they do! I have a system that needed full servicing. Palani took the time to ask about the system, our usage, and came up with a plan. I really appreciated him recommending quick cleaning for the units that are not used as much and a full cleaning for the units that are used all the time. The difference in cost was night and day, and I got a discount because of an energy efficiency program through HECO! Really thankful that Palani was on the lookout for my wallet, too!

Palani and his partner were very flexible, showed up on time, and finished well before he had estimated. Very courteous, a pleasure to do business with. Will definitely be using him in the future for my annual AC servicing!

Palani (owner) and Scott (tech) did a fantastic job on my 2x ductless ACs! They were polite and easy to communicate with. They arrived on time (the first time that has happened with ANY contractor/handyman we have dealt with here). Our bedroom ac was full of mold when they fully disassembled the inside unit. After they cleaned it it looks very clean and blows twice as hard as before! They cleaned the outside units very well and flushed the lines too. There price is reasonable compared to, and their customer reviews are on average better than, the 6 other ac guys I got quotes from. Highly recommend!

We received several bids to have attic mounted split AC installed in our home and Standard Air was by far the best choice for us.

Palani was fast to get us on the schedule, he was honest, his price was reasonable, and he was very educated on the products available. We felt that he really helped guide us to the product that was best for our complicated space.

We have since referred him to several friends whom have all been very happy with his work as well.

Standard has my recommendation. I had them service my splits at home. They dont overcharge even though competitors charge 100-200 more than they do for same service. They charged an appropriate amount based on time required and type of work as i have had this done before. Palani was diligent with call backs and scheduling and was very professional in all the dealings with him. Will use them again.

I'm leaving this review for my mom who just had Standard Air over for a split AC. She said they were personable, prompt, good work ethic, and she highly recommends them. Luckily there was no major issue found and they suggested we contact the people who installed it to do an annual maintenance on the unit. Thank you!

Have to say I had a very good experience with Palani and company. I have worked with several AC companies and I have to say Palani is my go to. They provided a competitive, punctual and was respectful when working at my home. In addition he followed up to insure everything was in good order and if I was in need of service. I plan to use them in the future and would not hesitate to recommend.

Awesome! Palani of Standard Air was great and very professional at helping me. I originally had All Day AC install a Mitsubishi Split Air Conditioner System at my home in Honolulu. I was completely unhappy with their installers attitude, quality of the installation and location of the equipment.

I contacted Palani we setup an appointment, he arrived on time I showed him the AC system that was installed. Palani was very professional gave me a quote for basically redoing the complete installation.

We setup a date for the work to be done, he showed up on time, did the work, very easy to work with, price was more than fair and he's honest but mainly I was very happy with the end product.

Would highly recommend. If you have an A/C problem, don't waste your money on anyone else. Call Palani and get your problem solved and your full money's worth.

We have been wanting to have AC installed for a long time and did some research before choosing Standard Air for the job. Palani s a really nice, decent person, someone you can trust. He replies to emails right away and comes right on time for estimate appointment and when doing the job. He did a good job of installing our split air. Had a little problem with our units, but he came as soon as he could to resolve it. You can't go wrong with his service and really great price. He will not rip you off. I got three estimates. One company gave me an estimate which, on the low end was almost $3,000 more than Palani's, and on the high end, would you believe about $7,500 more! The second company's estimate was about $2,000 more. Watch out for those companies who want to rip you off. His electrician was just as nice, and gave a super good estimate as well. He, too, came out right away. Unbelievable to find this kind of service these days!

MY experience with Palani and the Standard AC Crew was GREAT!! Palani returned my phone call the same day where other companies called me days later. Palani also came to my house the same week upon my request to show him my situation despite his very busy schedule, where other companies told me they were to busy. Palani also worked with my budget and actually saved me money. The day of the install Palani and the two Scotts were on time, removed my old system and re-installed a brand new Mitsubishi split system in less than three hours. They also went over and beyond by looking at my other AC units and replaced all the insulations with new and modern ones only because I asked. WOW!!! I recommend Palani and the Standard Air crew they had lots of ALOHA which is hard to find now days.

I contacted several companies that had decent ratings on Yelp to get split systems installed at my mother's house. Palani got back to me right away. I explained to him what I was looking for and he gave me a ballpark figure over the phone. He then came out to look at what would work and followed up with a written quote. His estimate was a lot more detailed than the other companies I got quotes from in that he included the model number and specifics of what he was proposing. The first unit went in without any issues and his crews worked fast. The compressor for the other units turned out to be defective, which was caught during the installation. We had to wait until he got a new one in but during the whole time he kept in touch with me to let me know what was going on. His price was not the cheapest but also was not the most expensive. I appreciated the fact that Palani was straight up, very courteous, and explained everything in a way that I could understand.

Called Standard Air after several other companies refused to service my very old split air unit. They came promptly but alas 27 yr old unit was past repair so had them install new unit which was done promptly despite one reschedule because of tropical storm. Price was reasonable and work done quickly and neatly. Palani is very service oriented. HAPPY customer here!

Palani was very professional and knowledgeable when when I was getting estimates for replacing my split AC units. He was very responsive to my emails (and texts) and was open to giving his professional opinions, but still accounting for what I wanted done. During installation, they were able to complete the job in the amount of time he had given me, and Palani even wanted to make sure the units and walls were clean before he left! I will definitely be using Standard Air when it comes time to replace my other AC units and if I need service done.
